Have a glamorous Monday!
Finally before I go today, disaster film fans may remember Sheila Mathews (later Sheila Allen when she married producer Irwin Allen in 1974) as the ship's nurse in The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and her larger role as the glamorous mayor's wife in The Towering Inferno (1974). I'm sorry to post that she passed away over the weekend. This has not as yet been reported in mainstream media but former co-stars such as Bill Mumy and Angela Cartwright have paid their respects via social media.
Amongst her other (always memorable) credits were supporting roles in When Time Ran Out (1980) and Alice in Wonderland (1985) and on television, Lost in Space. Later she was the executive producer of the 2006 remake Poseidon.
